Hisashiburi

It's been a while. Got my Master of Political Science diploma a couple of months back (It's dated 11 September 2008).
My internship in Tokyo was nice. Now all I have to do is get a decent job, and learn Japanese to a proficient level (JLPT2). Memorizing words is the largest trouble, but I'll do it :)

Just wish I could go it in Japan as opposed to here, in northern Europe, with the credit crunch and all :P

Oh well, It'll sort itself out. At least I have an arubaito to get some money for the plane ticket back to Japan when that happens :)

Wakeup call

So it's almost 0630 (ECT) and I was still in bed hugging a pillow ^^ and the five girls living in the dorm come floating in with songs, candle light and gingerbread home baked cookies ^^

Really cute (to bad the picture I took with my cellphone didn't come out to good :P)

Huggs you all ^^

Nippon

I really have to train my speaking skills in English, and memorize more Japanese vocabulary (especially verbs).

Why?

Cuz this whiteboy is going to Japan yo! :D

The 'Delegation of the European Commission to Japan' accepted my application for internship next autumn! :D

Oh, I really should get to bed. I have to wake up in four hours and get to school :P

Nipponese

We had our first gathering and registration today with the students that are to study Japanese today (the Chinese students were there as well).
I feel slightly nervous about the course thou. Since they will use what they call the "Direct method" (i.e. the teachers will only use japanese with our student ^^;).
Oh well, a friend of mine was also admitted to Japanese 101 in at Stockholm University, I wish her luck.

Other than that... I hope that we'll be doing some FIBUA training this month.

Oh well, off to brush my teeth, and maby hit the rack.

An epic quest

I just finished eating dinner after a walk in town. Micro-wave dinner (meat and rice etc.) with chocolate milk and bread, mmmm ^^

Apparently the stores close earlier in the summer (and on Saturdays :P). So I helped a group of American tourists (one mother, two children, and I assume one grandmother from Utah) around; they wanted to know where they could buy T-shirts with the university name on and such (apparently one of the grandmothers names were the same name as the university ^^). Apparently my english has a very American dialect as well ^^;;

After this and not having had the opportunity to buy the T-shirts I was to buy I returned home leaving a book in the mailbox of the faculty library.

On another note. Finished the course in communication-theory and information duty. Unfortunately on the evening before the last day there were an accident while I and two other course participants played volleyball.

One player landed on his foot (kindof folding it inwards and thus starching muscles etc. in the leg. I hope he's okay since he complained about pains in the knee-region as well. A doctor that attended the course as well said we should go have it x-rayed. So the two of us and the girl that also played headed away to the ER. Unfortunately the x-ray ward was closed for the night so we had to travel a "couple" of kilometers to the regional hospital... Unfortunately, no one had called and told them that we were coming so the X-ray personnel had gone to sleep and couldn't be woken up for something "small" as this... So he had to spend the night at the hospital with me and the girl sleeping in the waiting-room.

Anyway, hope he's okay.
